Living in amongst the rolling hills of the north Dorset countryside, I am surrounded by meadow fields.  This inspires me to paint. My style is semi-abstract / impressionist - definitely not like a photograph.  We have cameras for that. Having always loved art, I have returned to it with vigour.

My favourite type of painting involves large canvases where I can really go to town on flagrant thrashing and flicking outside. Getting rough with the canvases is one of my favourite parts of the process. I use a variety of techniques which include splatting, flicking and even, full-blown canvas whipping - Indiana Jones style! I then give them the kiss of life with gentle, careful, detailed painting to add prettiness and bring the pictures to fruition.
